1 cup of butter 4 cups of flour 1 cup of sugar 1 cup of treacle 1 cup of milk 1 tablespoon of ginger 2 eggs 1 tea spoon of bicarb (baking powder) |

What to do |
Pre heat the oven to 180 C 1. Stir the butter, sugar and ginger in a metal or pottery bowl to form a light cream. 2. Place bowl on top of the stove to warm. 3. Beat the eggs lightly and add to the cream mix. 4. Mix in the milk and ginger. 5. Add all the flour and beat well. 6. Bake for about 45 minutes. |
